The designation of Mr Mah Nai Hock and issue regarding BN Coordinator

16 June 2009 (Tuesday), the wrong person appointed as BN Coordinator happen in Penang Island too. Local leaders such as Mr Mah Nai Hock from “Cawangan Sungai Pinang” resigned from the positions hold in state but still keep their membership. They actually love GERAKAN as they never make noise through the newspaper, adding that they stopped their supporters to quit GERAKAN.

The leader Mr Mah involved in Penang Fo Yi Haemodialysis Society, he hold the chairpersonship for number of years. He work closely with other six chairmen from difference branches, they never against any instructions from state chairman. Can we say he is a good leader? Personally, I think so!!! He know the problems why we GERAKAN lost in Sungai Pinang, he also know how to win the seat back within three years time. The residents know him well as he used to appear on newspapers. He had assisted two ex-ADUNs such as Dr Kang and Y.B Looi. He did help Dr Toh during 308 elections.

Dear Chairman (Dr Teng), I have few suggestions for your considerations. (i) Please keep Mr Mah’s positions in party; (ii) Please have an open heart meeting with the local leaders, (iii) Collect their opinions and reconsider their suggestions, (iv) If you still insist your decision, please meet them and explain to them, in fact they need you to RESPECT them.

Dr Teng, we don’t want “A” team and “B” team, we want MANY STRONG LOCAL and NATIONAL LEADERS to rebuild GERAKAN’s image. The Malaysian citizens also want us to be like that too. Please settle the problem occurred in the party as soon as possible, WE NEED TO LOOKING INTO A SYSTEM WHICH WILL EFFECTIVELY BUILDING AS MANY LEADERS AS POSSIBLE. WE NEED TO FIND THE TALENTS (at least 1000), TRAIN THEM, PROVIDE ENOUGH STAGES FOR THEM TO PERFORM AND MAKE THEM FAMOUS AS HERO TO PUBLIC.

We only have maximum three years time; we must “SATU HATI”. If Dr Khor (Party Chairman) and Dr Teng (State Chairman) have reconsidered our opinions, we need to follow their final decision too. Because they are the key person to get blame from public if they decide wrongly.

Feeling during PSDC Open day

13 June 2009 (Saturday), number of visitors keeps asking me the future career of the course of Mechatronic offered in Penang Skills Development Sentre (PSDC). When I told them that the graduates from Mechatronic were employed as Engineer, Assistance Engineer and Technician. They feel happy and surprise. In Penang, only PSDC offer this diploma course and we only recruit number of student less than 150 pax. The students graduate from the course of Mechatronic able to get better offer from factories due to demand more than supply.

This is a good course and the students will able to further their degree [B. Eng. (Hons) Mechanical Engineering] in PSDC too. They just need to pay the tuition fees of ~RM55000 for the 3yrs Diploma and 2yrs Degree.

The lecturers conducting the course are experience and professional person. They used to conduct training courses to industries. The students are gaining advantage from them as they will learn the technologies applied in industries.

How do you think? Is it good? For me, I strongly believe that the students will gain benefit from PSDC.

However, many of them don’t know about the courses offer in PSDC. We are famous to manufacturing industries due to training courses. We are not famous to the SPM leavers as we don’t have the name such as PSDC College / PSDC University College / PSDC University. I will keep it as vision. In fact, If we upgraded to University or University College, the factories will gain more benefit as the trend in industry are going to research and development (R&D). The operators, technicians, engineers and managers will feel proud to train by us too. We will able to bit other training centre too.
